Four Payments of Regret

Overview
Part of a larger Financial Wellness Series for Summit Valley Bank, this microlearning video helps viewers understand the risks of overusing Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) services and supports better financial decision-making.

Problem

The bank identified an increase in customers using BNPL services, which was contributing to overdraft fees and financial stress.
 

Instead of assuming this was just a need for more information, I looked at the behavior behind it. Customers were not fully aware of how quickly multiple BNPL payments could add up or how they impacted their overall budget.
 

This showed that it wasn’t just about giving more information, but helping people understand how their choices were impacting their finances. That’s why a short, focused learning solution made sense.
 

Solution

Using the ADDIE model and Understanding by Design (UbD), I designed a two-minute microlearning video in Vyond focused on real-life consequences and decision-making.
 

Rather than presenting information alone, I used a story-based approach to make the content relatable. The video follows a character whose repeated use of BNPL leads to financial stress, helping viewers connect the concept to real situations.

Chat GPT Tutorial

Overview
This short instructional video was designed as a portfolio to provide students with a practical way to access academic support using free AI tools. This tutorial demonstrates how college students can utilize ChatGPT to enhance their study habits, manage time effectively, and navigate complex assignments.

Problem
Many college students struggle with unclear instructions and preparing for exams. Without consistent access to instructors or tutors, they often lack the support needed to stay on track.

Solution
Using the ADDIE model and Understanding by Design (UbD), I developed a short video that teaches students how to:

  • Clarify confusing assignments

  • Turn notes into structured study guides

  • Create fill-in-the-blank or multiple-choice practice tests
     

The video was designed in Camtasia using simple visuals, voiceover narration, zoom-and-pan effects, and cursor highlights to guide learners step-by-step.

This tutorial promotes behavior change by:
