Overview
This live training was designed for Horizon Tech Solutions, a fictitious software company. It’s designed for new and mid-level managers who are still learning how to guide their teams and provide constructive feedback effectively.

 

Problem
Many managers were promoted from technical roles and lacked experience leading people. Instead of engaging in meaningful dialogue, they often defaulted to giving quick instructions, limiting employee growth.

Solution
Using the ADDIE model and Understanding by Design (UbD), I developed a live training session focused on real outcomes: helping managers hold effective coaching conversations.

 

Designed with adult learning principles in mind, the session features realistic workplace challenges instead of slides or abstract theory. The experience follows a human-centered approach and applies Learning Experience Design (LxD) to keep content relevant and actionable.
 

Impact
This training promotes behavior change by:

  • Helping managers shift from directing to coaching

  • Providing practical tools that they can apply immediately

  • Strengthening trust and team relationships
